Check out this amazing video. It's both bizarre and mind-blowing. German is such a beautiful language and, in operatic form, it's especially lovely. Look at the way the sounds roll off the good man's tongue. The arrangement of all the parts and how they work together to produce such a sound is truly remarkable. The abstract nature of the MRI imaging, coupled with an immobilised skull, creates a benign Frankensteinian vista - one that through human song gains an eerie beauty.
