Why can’t the world’s greatest minds solve the mystery of consciousness? by Oliver Burkeman


 

“Look, I’m not a zombie, and I pray that you’re not a zombie,” Chalmers said, one Sunday before Christmas, “but the point is that evolution could have produced zombies instead of conscious creatures – and it didn’t!”



The lovely Oliver Burkeman of the Guardian has written an excellent piece on the "Hard Problem" of consciousness, where neuroscience and philosophy collide: Why can't the world's greatest minds solve the mystery of consciousness?
